This lecture will provide an overview of The Phenomenology of Spirit, focusing on the concepts of freedom, knowledge, and spirit.
Ingo Farin was born in East Germany and raised in West Germany. He received an M.A. from the Freie Universität Berlin in 1985, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Indiana University in 2003. He was an instructor at Indiana University, and a visiting professor at both the University of Toledo and the College of William and Mary. He has been a tutor at St. John’s College since 2002. His areas of interest include phenomenology, hermeneutics, existentialism and critical theory, as well as the history of philosophy.
