The concert is free and open to the public and will be held in the Francis Scott Key Auditorium on Sunday, January 13 at 4 p.m.
This year, members of the community are also invited to participate in seminars on Dr. King's “Where Do We Go from Here?” speech from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 12. Arrive at 9 a.m. for check-in and refreshments. The seminars will be preceded by a keynote address by Maryland State Superintendent of Schools and Secretary-Treasurer of the State Board Lillian M. Lowery from 9:30 to 10 a.m., followed by a panel discussion featuring students and educators from area schools.
Founded in 2001, the All Children's Chorus of Annapolis has been cited by the County Executive for a commitment to excellence and diversity. The Singing Sensations Youth Choir performs a wide variety of music ranging from spirituals to show tunes, as well as songs in various languages. The choir has performed internationally in countries such as Canada and Trinidad.
