Curator to Lecture on Shaker Exhibition at St. John’s College’s Mitchell Gallery

Christian Goodwillie, director of special collections at Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, will discuss the exhibition “Gather up the Fragments: The Andrews Shaker Collection” on view from March 2 to April 19 at St. John’s College. Goodwillie’s lecture will offer insight into one of the most comprehensive collections of Shaker materials ever assembled. The lecture, which is free and open to the public, will be held at the Mitchell Gallery on March 8 at 7:30 p.m.
Goodwillie received his bachelor of arts in history from Indiana University and his master of science in historic preservation from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He was formerly curator of collections at the Hancock Shaker Village in Pittsfield, Mass.
