Greetings to the St. John’s College Alumni:
It gives us great pleasure to announce the appointment of Sarah Trujillo Palacios as the new Director of Alumni Relations in Santa Fe. Sarah impressed the search committee, which included alumni, faculty, and staff, with experience in alumni relations combined with an inquisitive nature. We ask you to join us in welcoming her!
Along with enthusiasm for working with St. John’s alumni and the entire college community, Sarah brings with her excellent experience in alumni relations. At Stanford University she worked first as the Assistant Manager of Student Development and then as Assistant Director of Students and Young Alumni. Her focus was to develop programming that brought current students and alumni together, as well as to provide a seamless transition for young alumni as part of the overall approach to alumni engagement. She has a BA from Stanford University in Psychology and she recently attained her MBA from the University of New Mexico with a concentration in Human Resources Management/Organizational Behavior.
Sarah is a native of New Mexico and is married and has a one-year-old daughter. She describes herself as an avid and curious reader. Regarding her new position, Sarah writes: “I wanted to work for St. John’s because it is a college that engages both its students and its alumni so that learning, discussion, and intellectual exchange can continue long after graduation. More than anything, I wanted a job that would be professionally fulfilling while also allowing me to explore and engage my intellectual curiosity. I look forward to engaging in thought-provoking conversations with St. John’s alumni, students, faculty, and staff. I know there is much I can learn about this community from those who have a deep commitment to it.”
